MEET THE CHARACTERS

AS

Aranya Singh

At sixty, King Aranya carries his years with the weight of a kingdom on his shoulders—his dark hair silvered at the temples, his once-broad frame now lean and hardened by decades of rule. His eyes, the color of monsoon clouds, hold the quiet intensity of a man who has built prosperity from nothing, and his hands, scarred from old battles, now tremble slightly as he prepares for war once more.

SS

Sugandha Singh

Queen Sugandha, thirty-five, moves with a grace that turns heads in the palace corridors—her curves are celebrated in silk saris, her skin the warm gold of desert sand, and her dark eyes hold a fierce intelligence behind their beauty. She smells of jasmine and resolve, her voice a low melody that commands respect, and though she stands by her king, there's a restless energy in her posture, as if she's already calculating the cost of the coming storm.

DS

Dyut Singh

Dyut, eleven years old, has his mother's striking eyes and his father's stubborn jaw, a boy on the cusp of something greater—his slight frame is quick and curious, his black hair perpetually tousled from running through palace gardens. He watches the war preparations with a mix of awe and fear, his hands clutching at toy soldiers, unaware that his childhood is about to be shattered by the sound of distant drums.

ZK

Zeeshan Khan

King Zeeshan, forty, is a force of nature—his build is that of a seasoned warrior, broad-shouldered and scarred across his forearms, with a beard trimmed to a sharp point and eyes like flint that miss nothing. He moves with the predatory ease of a tiger, his voice a gravelly command that echoes in war tents, and he smells of leather, steel, and the dry earth of the marches he's conquered without mercy.

"The scouts confirm it," Aranya said, his voice heavy. "Zeeshan's forces will be here within three days." Dyut peeked from behind a pillar, clutching his toy soldiers tightly. Sugandha's eyes hardened as she watched the horizon. "We will not let him take what we've built," she murmured, her resolve filling the space between them. The palace, once a haven of prosperity, now felt like a cage awaiting a storm.
